Charger Competitive Swim Team
The YMCA's Charger Swim Team is a competitive age group swim program. Swimmers are assigned to practice levels according to age, swimming ability and experience. The Charger mission is to develop fast swimmers that exercise the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in every facet of life. YMCA swimmers compete in the YMCA Swim Coaches Association of Pennsylvania and can qualify for swimming competition in the YMCA District, State and National Swimming Championships.
Membership in the Competitive Aquatics Parents' Association and YMCA are required for team participation. Practice begins in September and ends in March. Visit the Charger website.

Swim Team Evaluations
Whether your swimmer is new to competitive swimming or looking to improve their skills, the Chambersburg Chargers Swim Team welcomes swimmers of all abilities.

Who Can Participate?
- Ages: 5-18
Swimmers should be able to:
- Swim one lap freestyle
- Swim one lap backstroke
- Comfortably complete 25 yards out and back
FREE Evaluations
- There is no cost to participate in a swim team evaluation.
